Great opportunity for an experienced Network Engineer in a role which will be critical for the infrastructure team, focussed on both critical projects as well as operational work.

Strong experience with Cloud Networking will be paramount to this role, and experience with Fortinet, Cisco and Palo Alto experience will be looked upon favourably.


About you:

  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting enterprise-grade switches, routers, and wireless access points.
  • Deep knowledge of network security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention protocols.
  • Proven experience with hybrid cloud networking practices, including cloud-based networking services (AWS VPC, Azure VNETs, GCP VPC) and their integration with on-premises networks.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex network performance issues. Experience with application performance optimization techniques, security and encryption technologies, and SD-WAN technologies.
  • Working knowledge of ICT Risk Management, endpoint security, and Identity and Access Management (IAM). Understanding of security assessment and testing methodologies.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Work heavily on critical projects as well as day-to-day network operations, including planning, designing, implementing, and improving network infrastructure across all environments (on-premises, data centers, cloud).
  • Monitor network performance and security, implement solutions to address concerns, and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
  • Contribute to and implement ICT infrastructure policies and standards, with a focus on networking. Maintain well-architected network documentation.
  • Oversee network security processes, including zero-trust access management. Participate in security investigations and ensure compliance with industry regulations and auditing requirements.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of evolving network technologies and trends. Provide expert advice and support to the IT team.
  • Communicate network risks and issues to stakeholders. Maintain strong vendor relationships and collaborate with other teams on projects and initiatives (e.g., disaster recovery, business continuity).
  • Requirement to travel between sites in the local area.
