Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the new design system as well as legacy support for our existing online style guide, specialized In SCSS (CSS), Angular and Storybook. If you have experience in building E-Mail templates then you may also be partially involved In this area.

You will be part of a frontend development team that is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining code our Monorepo setup. Participation in requirement analysis as well as code reviews and knowledge sharing are key.

What You Will Do

• Implements code that is lucid, concise, high-performing, thoroughly tested, and easily comprehensible to others.
• Enhances the development experience at Entain by improving development tools, test coverage, and/or code structure.
• Automates repetitive manual tasks to boost personal/team productivity.
• Ensures consistent and timely delivery of their tasks.
• Actively aids their team in the automation of execution metrics tracking and reporting, while also upholding disciplined adherence to processes and best practices.
• Possesses an in-depth understanding of at least one programming language and framework.
• Assumes responsibility for the entire lifecycle of their stories: development, testing, production, and subsequent fixes and enhancements.
• Collaborates with Product and Development counterparts to clarify story requirements they are working on.
• Promotes self-reliance by creating concise documentation for the stories they deliver.
• Conducts code reviews in accordance with the team's recognized standards and practices, deemed beneficial for the team.
• Engages in collaborative discussions with fellow engineers, designers, and SDITs to elaborate on implementation details, adhering to established team patterns.
• Embraces Entain's values as an integral part of daily interactions, making them second nature.
• Illustrates and elucidates software architecture for the team, fostering a comprehensive understanding.
• Adheres to interview guidelines and actively participates in the interview process, including code reviews through collaboration with senior engineers.
• Mentors Software and Junior Software engineers to guide them in managing their delivery, primarily through code review.
• Takes the lead in facilitating the onboarding process for engineers joining their team.
• Develop and maintain an Angular/CSS component library - built in-house
• Continuously review and improve our code, stay up to date with the latest features and trends in frontend development
• Collaborate on requirement and design refinements with the respective stakeholders
• Perform code reviews as part of our developer experience and quality control
• Support and mentor team members across different locations
• Document your code and features as well as writing how-to guidelines

• Expert with SCSS, CSS, knowing the latest trends and features
• Angular
• Monorepo workflows, NX, Git
• Hands-on experience with Storybook
• Accessibility standards
• Performance Optimization
• Creating Figma Plugins
• Experience using Sitecore
