Job Description
Reporting to the Purchasing Director, you will be responsible for developing a structured product offering with the best value-for-money and meeting customer expectations in close collaboration with the Merch Planning, Style, and Production teams.
Analyze:
- Conduct an analysis of the previous season's performance
- Propose an optimization plan for the upcoming season
- Analyze sales for the current season
- Propose corrective action plans
Build the department's offering:
- Identify development opportunities for your product family
- Define the framework for the collection by product type/sub-family/price per delivery period (number of references, colorways, quantity)
- Create a collection plan (EXCEL / BP as necessary)
- Build an innovative and customer-appropriate range
- Provide the necessary details to the buyer (DT, Volumetrics, Target PV…)
- Oversee product development while respecting deadlines and quality
Negotiate purchases:
- Participate in the purchasing strategy
- Build a commitment plan based on sourcing strategy
Supervise/Guarantee:
- Optimize the sales performance and commercial success of collections within your product scope
- Structure and balance the collection by delivery waves
- Ensure adherence to pricing, deadlines, and product quality strategy
Competitive Intelligence:
- Regularly visit competitors' stores as well as the brand’s stores
- Identify new arrivals (collection updates)
- Conduct a benchmark analysis
- Attend suppliers' showrooms for product updates
Management:
- Lead and manage one or more purchasing coordinators
- Business Travels: Travel is required for this position
- Frequency: every 2–3 months abroad (to suppliers)
Ideal Profile
- You have a BAC+5 level qualification in fashion, textile engineering, or business school?
- You have over 5 years of experience as a Product Manager and/or Buyer in a ready-to-wear brand?
- You are rigorous, agile, and proactive. With an excellent sense of analysis, you are results-oriented and comfortable making decisions?
- You can communicate easily in English (both written and oral)?
- You enjoy supporting your team, helping them grow, and uniting them around projects?
- You want to work in a fun, dynamic company?
