Senior Application Security Engineer

We are currently hiring for one of our clients for the position of Senior Application Security Engineer. This is a full-time opportunity to play a pivotal role in securing software, products, and services while supporting the organization’s cyber security goals.

Candidates for this role must be based in Ireland.

About the Role

As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you will:

• Develop and implement security programs supporting SDLCs.
• Integrate security technologies with development workflows.
• Perform code analysis using SAST/DAST solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to prioritize vulnerability mitigation and enhance security features.
• Conduct security configuration reviews, provide technical guidance, and more.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years in a cybersecurity role and 2+ years in software development (or 8+ years related experience).
• Proficiency in at least two coding languages (C#, Python, GoLang, Java, etc.).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and application security technologies like SAST, DAST, Threat Modeling, and more.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Cybersecurity certifications and expertise in application/product security engineering.
• Familiarity with encryption technologies, authentication protocols, and network/system design in cloud and traditional environments.
