Senior Platform Engineer with GoLang

We are seeking an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with GoLang to join our team in designing, building, and maintaining an internal developer platform. This platform enables engineers to request and provision required infrastructure (on-prem and cloud), build and deploy applications using modern CI/CD pipelines, and provision application instances on demand. The ideal candidate should have expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies and the ability to lead a team in creating a scalable, reliable, and secure platform.

Responsibilities


  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure of the developer platform, leveraging cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies
  • Lead a team of developers, ensuring the platform's scalability, reliability, and security
  • Work collaboratively with DevOps, SRE, Full Stack Developers, and Product Managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Develop and implement best practices for platform development, deployment, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the platform and ensure smooth operation
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and containerization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline platform functionality and enhance system performance


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters
  • Experience implementing Backstage IDP (Identity Provider) at an enterprise level
  • Expertise in both conventional and modern Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform and Crossplane.io
  • Strong full-stack development experience, specifically with React and Go
  • Proficient coding skills in Go
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes orchestration, and microservices architecture
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform and Crossplane.io
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD, Harness, GitOps
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Elastic Stack
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with Crossplane.io, Backstage.io, and ArgoCD


Nice to have


  • Knowledge of IaaS platforms and integration with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Familiarity with the BACK stack (Back-end tools and technologies) and enterprise-grade implementation of Backstage IDP
  • Experience with building and scaling enterprise platforms
  • Familiarity with full-stack development (React and Go)
