Research & Insights Specialist (Freelance)

In this role, you'll be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive informed business decisions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights that influence our strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Research needs, systems, and methodologies
- Assists in identifying and developing the marketing research agenda, coordinating with relevant sector teams to understand research needs and to achieve strategic priorities and objectives.
- Conducts annual, quarterly, monthly, and campaign-specific surveys and questionnaires to track the performance of our marketing campaigns, activities, creative, audiences, media partners, and marketing levers with the goal to be able to optimize our efforts
- Implements methodologies, analytical models, and statistics to provide reliable information and results and determines the use of data and research tools, applications, and systems to improve data quality, integrity, and efficiency as directed by the team.
Research and analytics
- Cleans, analyzes data, double checks it with the goal of creating impactful insights that evolve our marketing efforts across all aspects inclusive of paid media, brand collaborations, sponsorships, public relations, and any other marketing activities that touch the Abu Dhabi target audience
- Provide key information to teams for them to create strong briefs that will solve key problems for Abu Dhabi and accelerate the consumer journey from awareness to actual visits.
- Uses the latest data science techniques, including computational modeling and analytical techniques based on the latest technology, to test hypotheses and predict consumer behavior and preferences.
- Collects and analyses data from multiple sources in line with specific research goals and plans.
- Conducts research to understand the sector, economic affairs, competitive analysis, behavioral patterns of society, beneficiaries, partners, and other relevant research analyses.
- Prepares data presentations and research results to facilitate decision-making mechanisms and achieve targeted metrics.
- Collaborates closely with sector teams, external stakeholders, industry experts, specialists, and others to provide support, contributing as needed in support of strategic planning and market analysis.
- Disseminate information, data, statistics, and research results related to sector departments in accordance with the established standards and procedures and team directives.
Key skills
- 5 to 8 years experience in marketing research, analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations or any similar position or sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and data analysis techniques.
- Language: Fluency in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Office, and Excel)
- Advanced skills in management and dealing with people
- Excellent management skills and attention to detail · Self-motivation and the ability to get work done in an appropriate manner.
