BioMetallica is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to play a pivotal role in scaling BioMetallica’s proprietary technology to industrial levels by building pilot and demo plants, refining bioextraction processes, and optimizing unit operations through advanced simulation tools like Aspen Plus. In doing so, you will help develop sustainable solutions for recovering critical metals from e-waste and industrial waste—driving a global impact while steering BioMetallica toward becoming a leader in green tech. Job Scope

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and scale biochemical processes for industrial deployment.

• Use process simulation tools like Aspen Plus, HYSYS, COMSOL Multiphysics, or CHEMCAD to optimize system performance.

• Lead the scale-up from lab-scale experiments to pilot and demo plant operations.

• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams to enhance process efficiency and sustainability.

• Oversee compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

• Contribute to strategic and operational decision-making as a core member of the executive team.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant working experience. Candidates with a Master or PhD qualifications and with more years of relevant working experience will have an advantage.

• Proven experience in process simulation using software such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS, or COMSOL Multiphysics.

• Hands-on expertise in plant design and industrial scaling.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.

• Exceptional leadership and project management abilities.

• Prior experience in industrial wastewater remediation, metallurgy, or metal purification and separation is a strong plus.
