Software Architect - Golang

9 month contract role - Principal Engineer/Software Architect/Chief problem solver - Golang. Neg on day rates.

tekfinder have a new software architect role in Sydney CBD for a highly competent software architect who has been hands on with Go in their most recent roles. I cant stress how important the Golang aspect is- if you've not been using it on a daily basis, you wont be right for this role.

This online business have built all of their apps in Go (moving to version 1.24 soon) and we are looking for an architect/chief problem solver who can work side by side with the CTO, helping his engineers and product owners with a lot of problem solving, uplift, best practice, workshops and solution design.

Stack; Go, AWS, IAC, TS. However - likely no coding in the role - you'll need to know Go in order to understand how all the apps are built, how they effect their customer base and (if there are no bushfires to put out) - how/what could be improved?

Day to day;

- Working with Go and infra at scale, supporting a customer base of millions

- making applications robust and future-proof, so they don’t break.

- Working across the backend dev & devops teams, helping with problem solving or re-defining things to continually improve

- Helping various product owners

- Running whiteboarding sessions and workshops on improvement across new apps.

- Helping individual devs with whatever issues they may have..

This is about leadership, architecture, making sure apps are robust so they don’t break and someone who knows the concepts of why things matter in this domain (online/high-traffic).
