We are looking for a motivated and skilled Insights and Reporting Officer to join our Communications and Public Engagement Branch. In this newly created role, temporary until 30 June 2025, you will work across our projects and with our functional teams to improve how we track progress and evaluate our projects.

A crucial part of this role will be extracting and simplifying a range of data from various sources to design and implement performance frameworks that are meaningful and effective. You will be involved in setting KPIs, recommending alternatives when necessary, and establishing a review schedule. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with analysing data to find those insights that can drive performance improvement.

Part of your role will be keeping everyone on track, by developing and managing project tools such as a master tracking spreadsheet that captures all project details and reporting needs. Familiarity with tools such as Gantt charts and Power BI dashboards is favourable, allowing you to plan and present progress reports that provide clarity on the timelines and status of our work.

You're a pro if you have demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met with efficiency and quality. Bonus points if you can synthesise complex data sets from market research, industry trends, and project analytics and apply it to generate clear recommendations for improved performance.

Your role extends beyond data and into the realm of training and development. You will have the chance to share the data capture and evaluation procedures with the branch, training them how to operate effectively within these frameworks, and understanding the insights from the data.

As The Insights And Reporting Officer You Will

  • Extract, analyse, and simplify complex data from various sources to shape recommendations that inform performance frameworks and progress reports
  • Create and maintain a master tracking spreadsheet for comprehensive oversight of projects and divisional reports
  • Analyse project reports and provide advice for enhancement
  • Initiate meetings with Branch team members to define performance frameworks, including relevant KPIs and schedule regular reviews and ensure provision of data within timeframes
  • Where required contribute to and provide subject expertise to projects to ensure


that data integrity and suitability for analyse, and ensure collective metrics deliver appropriate measures for accurate reporting.

  • Utilise Gantt charts and Power BI dashboards for detailed project reporting and to track progress efficiently
  • Present reports and information that is clear and concise and that identifies all relevant issues
  • Implement and maintain a management reporting system that provides timely, accurate and reliable information on the performance of key projects and initiatives
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring all deadlines are met effectively.
  • Establish and communicate procedures for data capture and evaluation.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders in the use of new data procedures and insights gained
