We are seeking a Middle Backend Developer - Ruby on Rails (Remote) to become a part of our team.

Job Description

  • Confident knowledge of Ruby and the Ruby on Rails framework;
  • Experience in developing REST APIs and integration services;
  • Experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL);
  • Database design and normalization skills; Experience with Redis;
  • Experience with libraries RSpec, RSwag, Sidekiq, Devise (authentication), Pundit/CanCanCan (authorization)), etc.;
  • Knowledge of libraries for integration with third-party services (Stripe, AWS S3, etc.).;
  • Experience with CI/CD; Experience with version control systems (Git);
  • Practical experience in writing unit, integration and e2e tests (RSpec, Minitest, Capybara, etc.);
  • Understanding the principles of building services and interactions between them (REST, gRPC).

Qualifications

  • Development and maintenance of online store functionality based on Ruby on Rails;
  • Ensuring the stable operation of the system and addressing technical debt; Development of REST APIs; Designing and developing RESTful services for interaction with client applications and third-party systems;
  • Working with databases;
  • Working with caching;
  • Ensuring application security;
  • Configuring authentication and authorization mechanisms;
  • Developing and maintaining tests for new and existing features; Integrating with third-party service APIs (e.g., payment systems, data storage);
  • Ensuring high code quality, adhering to standards, and following best development practices. Regular code reviews and participation in refactoring processes;
  • Developing services using REST and gRPC;
  • Integrating with messaging systems such as Kafka;
  • Optimizing application performance and configuring scalability;
  • Documenting and maintaining code.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of integration patterns (RabbitMQ, Kafka) will be a plus.
