Product Designer, Product Management & Design

Our TECH-department is looking for a Product Designer (Product Management & Design) to join our agile design team. The position is permanent and full-time.

Join our growing team of skilled real-money gaming industry design professionals! We are responsible for the entire User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design of the Veikkaus product portfolio. The results of our work are in front of millions of users daily both in Finland and abroad. Productization and product centric design are key objectives for our group.

Our goal is to create and maintain high-quality products that meet player and operator needs and preferences both domestically and abroad. Our team work tightly with Veikkaus’ subsidiary Fennica Gaming to bring our games to international audiences. The real-money gaming landscape in Finland is changing rapidly, this is an exceptional opportunity to bring your full potential to the table.

As a part of larger multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for UI and UX design, guidelines, and continuous improvement of best practices related to our current and future gaming products and services. You have the opportunity to work with the entire Veikkaus portfolio ranging from lottery web site design to electronic instants, casino games and sports betting, including back-office solutions. Your role, product team and work assignments will be shaped according to your strengths and interests.

Main Responsibilities Include

• Design both player facing and back-office user facing UI and UX with a consistent look-and-feel throughout
• Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows to stakeholders
• Create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually compelling interfaces that align with the product's vision and business goals
• Validate design choices and measure the effectiveness of design solutions using appropriate methods
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and insights to refine the product design
• Analyze customer feedback, user data, and market trends to identify pain points and opportunities for enhancing the product experience
  
  

We Expect From You

• Strong portfolio and 3+ years of experience in product centric design with digital products
• Understanding of agile methodologies and philosophy
• Good documentation skills and natural ability to communicate with users in order to find the best possible user experience
• Interest and ability to conduct different types of user studies (questionnaires, observations, qualitative research etc.)
• Strong knowledge of design systems and applications (we use Figma as our design software)
• Experience in light UI-prototyping
• Good visualization skills
• An appropriate degree (BA/MA or similar polytechnic degree) or otherwise acquired appropriate competence
• Good command of English as it is our main documentation language
• Finnish at least at a working level and to a degree Swedish
  
  

Any Of The Following Are Considered An Advantage

• Experience from gaming industry or developing digital products in B2C environment
• B2B back-office UI and UX design experience
• Design experience on multiple platforms, such as web, mobile or embedded systems
• Hands on experience with Adobe design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator or similar)
• UI Animation skills (2D/3D)

Our office is in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki, Finland. Partial remote working (hybrid model) is also possible. We expect minimum two days per week on site to foster team work and collaboration.
