About the role and the team
Domain Components team provides libraries, tools and services to other teams within StormGeo ensuring stability of business solutions to the end users. You will work in a team of software engineers and naval architects to design, build and maintain key tools and services that are critical to the company’s operations. Our software is used across different departments, supporting maritime industries with complex models for vessel performance and voyage route optimization which in turn are used to reduce costs and emissions while ensuring safety.
You will play a significant role in managing a large, logically complex codebase and ensuring its stability, scalability, and performance. Your contributions will directly impact our products, making them more efficient and capable of delivering higher value to the business and customers alike.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and improve high quality software solutions using .NET (C#)
- Collaborate with team members and other teams to integrate your work into the broader system architecture
- Analyze and work with large and logically complex codebases, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Work with AI/ML model creation, integration, mathematical algorithms
- Continuously learn and stay updated on new technologies, bringing ideas and innovations into projects
Core Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience in .NET C# designing and developing robust applications as well as unit testing
- Passion about numbers and data, curious by nature with a love for learning and problem solving
- Good knowledge of MS SQL (or other SQL databases)
- Collaborative mindset, where you enjoy discussing, rethinking, and redesigning your ideas to achieve shared success with your team and the company
- Attention to detail, especially around accuracy, performance, accessibility, reliability, scalability and security
- Ability to write easy-to-understand, scalable, testable and reliable code
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to break down complex problems and work with logically intensive codebases
- Proficiency in English, enabling you to communicate fluently with colleagues across the globe

- A good sense of humor and an ability to collaborate with others to make a friendly and supportive workplace
- Self-reliance and an entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving your own ideas and projects forward
- A proactive and innovative approach towards problem-solving, with a keen interest in exploring novel and imaginative solutions to intricate issues
- Knowledge in AI/ML model integration, ONNX, TeamCity, Octopus, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, RabbitMQ would be advantageous
