Senior QA Engineer

In the Global Bank Team at SumUp we are building the infrastructure and core services needed to provide our merchants with a digital bank account that allows them to be successful at doing what they love. Our goal is to become the most popular banking partner for small merchants globally by offering a high-quality banking experience tailored to small business needs - effortless, simple and affordable.

As Senior QA Engineer in the Global Bank Tribe, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that owns the transfers domain - enabling all sorts of transfers for our users such as direct debits, scheduled payments, and internal transfers etc. By champion the entire quality process throughout all stages of the development cycle, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the technical vision, ensuring the quality of our banking features.

What You’ll Do

• Generate and oversee end-to-end testing for the bank account transfers domain
• Develop and improve the automation test framework and scripts for the respective services, continuously improving efficiency and coverage
• Conduct thorough testing of client-facing applications, including iOS and Android apps, Web Dashboard, and Bank Backoffice, ensuring a seamless and error-free user experience
• Develop and execute security and load-testing plans to guarantee the reliability and security of the banking features
• Collaborate closely with the Product Manager and Product Designer, providing valuable insights and ensuring alignment between quality assurance processes and product development goals
  
  

You’ll be great for this role if

• You have 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with solid automation testing experience.
• You have a good command of at least one modern programming language (e.g. Kotlin, Java, Go) and your experience in testing backend, frontend, and mobile components underscore your versatility in addressing diverse testing challenges.
• Your excellent grasp of test principles and strategies reflects your commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards in software testing.
• You have proven experience writing automation tests and possess a good foundation in SQL, showcasing your ability to contribute to the efficiency of our testing processes.
• You have a good understanding of how web, RESTful, event-driven applications work in a microservices environment.

• Experience with Ruby

Salary range: 4250 - 6250 Euro GROSS / month + Virtual Stock Options + 2000 Euro L&D budget
