About the Role:

You will be instrumental in developing new features, optimising performance, and ensuring the quality of our flagship Android app (using Kotlin). You'll collaborate with a talented team, contribute to technical documentation, and have the opportunity to expand your skillset by contributing to our ReactJS web application (ideal).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain features for our Android application (Kotlin).
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Adhere to coding best practices and standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to ReactJS web development (desirable).

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience (or equivalent experience in another language).
• Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Gradle, Android Studio, and Android SDK.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently on codebase.
• Experience with Git.
• Familiarity with SOLID design principles.
• Willingness to travel to London quarterly.
• Based in Ireland and able to attend the Dublin office when required.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience with ReactJS (or similar) for web projects.
• 1+ years of experience working in a Scrum team.
• Advanced Kotlin proficiency.
• Experience with React, PHP, or Swift.
• Comfortable using a Linux terminal.
• Experience with SQLite or Postgres.
• Enjoys working in a small, agile team.
• Experience writing automated tests.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
• Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
