Software Engineer Intern - Vilnius Summer Internship 2025

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will get the opportunity to code on a real project, participating in all phases of the software life-cycle. You will join one of our software engineering teams and gain valuable, practical hands-on experience working in a highly collaborative, and creative work environment. We are experts in building highly available distributed systems that handle 100’s of millions of transactions per day, and you will get the opportunity to learn about this code during the summer. Tasks include analyzing, designing, and implementing software solutions for one of our projects, analyzing Business Requirements coming up with non-functional design, and writing code to implement it. We take pride in hosting interns and you will be well supported.
At Nasdaq Fund Secondaries (NFS), we deliver solutions for private fund sponsors and investors seeking liquidity. Our all-in-one secondaries platform minimizes friction and reduces complexity in the evolving secondaries market.The team are looking for an intern interested in back-end development . To succeed in the role we think you have a strong interest in coding, working as a team, is analytical, and great at problem-solving.

This role is at our Vilnius office, close to a bus stop for easy access and with restaurants and shopping centers close by. The position is on-site in Vilnius, therefore candidates from Vilnius are prioritized in the process. Hourly salary (Gross): 11 EUR.

What you will bring:
- Interest in back-end development, ideally experience with .NET, Ruby on Rails and SQL.
- Relevant experience in modern frontend frameworks (React in particular) would be considered as an advantage
- Knowledge from studies in the field of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or similar, graduating 2026 or 2027.
- Methodological and analytical mindset with good communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity
- A love for programming, the primary language used is Java.
- An ability to engage and collaborate with your team and other stakeholders.
- A will to contribute to our Nasdaq culture and values
- Interest in object-oriented programming and delivering SaaS in Cloud, AWS in particular
- Curiosity and interest in capital markets and financial technology
- A collaborative, fun, and dynamic work environment
