Freelance Architecte de Solutions Java (.NET -> Spring Boot Migration)

For a financial customer in Luxembourg, I am searching for a freelance Solution Architect for a mission to modernise an inhouse financial instrument application and migrate from .NET to Java/Spring Boot.

The correct candidate should combine solution architecture experience with hands-on technical capabilities to work closely with the development team.

Responsibilities

• Implementing the strategic architectural blueprint in the projects
• Analyzing business structures and processes to identify opportunities for improvement or enhancement through technology
• Designing and leading the implementation of an technical architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies
• Collaborating with Enterprise Architects for the evaluation of emerging technologies and tools, ensuring they align with the overall architecture
• Collaborating with development teams to enforce and adopt coding standards and best practices
• Implementing automated code analysis tools to identify potential issues, such as code smells, security vulnerabilities, and performance bottlenecks
• Collaborating with infrastructure enterprise architect and infrastructure teams to design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure IT infrastructure
• Ensuring software architecture aligns with the organization’s security policies, standards, and compliance requirements

Competencies

• Proficiency in microservices design patterns (e.g., service discovery, circuit breakers, API gateways)
• Ability to break down monolithic applications into smaller, independently deployable services
• Understanding of scaling strategies and resilience mechanisms for microservices
• Strong foundation in Java programming language, including object-oriented principles
• Expertise in Spring Boot for building microservices
• Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, PaaS services; other cloud services providers are an asset
• Proficiency with Javascript frontend framework; similar Javascript framework knowledge is an asset
• In-depth understanding of IAM principles for authentication and authorization; Keycloak is an asset

LOCATION: Luxembourg City

REMOTE POLICY: 2 days per week for Luxembourg residents, 34 days per year for Belgian/French residents, 28 days per year for Germany residents

HOURS PER WEEK: 40

LANGUAGES: French and English (both fluent)
