This global manufacturing has experience exponential growth in recent years, leading to an exciting transformation period within the procurement function, as they look to move towards best-in-class.

They are seeking a highly experienced strategic procurement leader to join their team is a key leadership position. You will be leading a large team with 5 direct reports (Procurement Directors)

You will have significant experience within a relevant indsutry (FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Contract Manufacturing, Chemicals) etc. and be interested in joining an evolving procurement function, working closely with the leadership team to develop and imbed new processes.

Role responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Global Procurement Director to set and deliver procurement strategies during an exciting period of transformation within a growing business
• As a Senior leader within the business your direct reports will be at a leadership level themselves. You will effectively ensure they are developing and implementing procurement strategies and managing their teams successfully
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to develop long term strategic category plans across direct/indirect spend.
• Bring market knowledge on innovative procurement strategies to help evolve the procurement function in line with market trends and technologies
• Effectively imbed a supplier relationship and contract management policy

Key Experience Required:

• A strong procurement leadership background within a global matrix organisation is required
• Experienced in developing and imbedding strategic procurement policies, within a changing environment at a leadership level
• Experience within a relevant regulated industry is required
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage cross functional stakeholder groups
• Strong people management experience of senior staff
