Senior Software Engineer - Emiratization - Inhouse Development & Vendor Product Support

Job Purpose

The Senior Software Engineer is a fully participating member of an agile feature team working independently on software development, vendor product management and incident resolution. The role involves supporting vendor software products in terms of development, support, enhancement and integration.

Job Outline

• Dealing with software application vendors to ensure SLA’s are being met.
• Working with vendors to support and maintain Tier 1 applications.
• Resolve incidents by working with internal and vendor teams.
• Code modules in Java and front-end technologies.
• Be part of the rotational on-call support and actively participate in resolving production issues within SLAs with minimal or no active supervision.
• Accountable for built in quality and ensuring 100% unit testing as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
• Continuously stay up to date in the relevant technologies and implement the learnings to enhance the code quality.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent): Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.

Experience Required

• 1+ years of experience in Software Engineering experience preferably in agile ways of working.
• Solid understanding of Testing concepts such as unit testing, functional testing and test automation.
• 1+ years of experience in resolving a variety of in-house and vendor software related issues using technical expertise.
• 1+ years of experience to Design, Code and Maintain medium to large applications/Modules in Java/Front End technologies.
• 1+ years of experience in working with and supporting vendor software products.
