Digital Product Manager


Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Digital Product Manager with experience in customer acquisition, increasing sales, and digital product management to support enterprise-wide initiatives at our client, a major retailer.


Client: Major Retailer

Hybrid Model: 4 days per week on site

Location: Toronto

Duration of Contract/Perm: 6 months, possibility of extension

Role Overview:

  • The Digital Product Manager is responsible for the customer acquisition funnel including the digital acquisition experience, applications, onboarding and initial activation.
  • This role will support the planning and lead the delivery of key platform functionality such as new features, enhancements, architectural development, and reporting & analytics, that deliver value across Digital, Call Center & Pavilion channels.
  • As one of the key leaders in product development, you will work with the technical & non-technical partners to represent the voice of the customer and the vision of the product throughout the product development process and present these as user stories to the engineering team.
  • The Digital Product Manager will bring leadership, coordination, and organizational skills to maintain a steady release plan.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the maintenance of the product backlog ensuring that it’s prioritized and continuously remove customer friction and drive business value.
  • Lead the end-to-end customer experience for growth and sales journeys with the Sr. Digital Product Manager
  • Lead product discovery with design, working through sophisticated problems to generate ideas and solutions
  • Partner with colleagues across all levels of the organization to identify business challenges and gain alignment on the roadmap
  • Actively seek customer feedback, behaviors and analytics.
  • Run and own customer research, market analysis and competitive analysis to build truly customer first solutions
  • Active participant in scrum ceremonies such as refinement, story pointing, sprint planning and demos.
  • Define and implement a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) balancing between the digital strategy, execution of new features, and continuous optimization.
  • Be accountable for driving key metrics forward for the growth and sales outcome
  • Handle multiple and sometimes conflicting timelines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of digital product management and with a focus on customer acquisition and increasing sales
  • Experience with agile/scrum software development methodology.
  • Proficient with analytics tools (Adobe, Google Analytics), agile project management tools (Jira and/or Miro) and remote user testing.
  • Experience in experimentation and A/B testing
  • University degree, preferably in Business or Engineering

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem solver with the ability to generate ideas and make solution recommendations.
  • Flexibility to partner with collaborators across all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Able to dive into a problem area to pull insights and generate creative solutions.
  • Proficient presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic group.
