About the Role


On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Info Security Analyst ready to take on new challenges.


Your Responsibilities


As an Info Security Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Work autonomously on high profile, complex and/or high-risk technology initiatives with significant impact to the organization.
  • Expertise in analyzing best scenarios for security alerts in SIEM Platform.
  • Identify and validate valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns.
  • Present information using data visualization techniques.
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.


Your Qualifications


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (BSc/BA), Engineering or relevant field, Security +, CISSP is preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience.


Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst.
  • Strong hands on experience on Splunk ES, Sentinel and LogScale.
  • Strong knowledge on security detection/monitoring tools (e.g. CS Falcon, Phish Lab, MS defender, etc.).
  • Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop).
  • Nice to have: Understanding of machine-learning and operations research; familiarity with Python and SQL is an asset.

  • Highly motivated individual with a track record of successfully implementing security solutions across line of business boundaries.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and a professional approach; including ability to interact with all levels across the organization.
  • Strong communicator, with excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
