About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Specialist to join their team and take ownership of both project-based and operational networking responsibilities. This role requires an experienced professional who can hit the ground running, leveraging hands-on expertise in Cisco ACI, routing and switching, software-defined networking, and micro-segmentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing existing network environments while executing key projects, including implementations and migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement application-centric, multi-site Cisco ACI fabrics with Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring seamless integration and execution of migrations.
• Complete an ongoing Cisco ACI implementation by extending IP mobility and VLAN stretching across multiple sites to facilitate virtual machine migration with minimal disruption.
• Execute the migration from a traditional spanning tree architecture (Cisco OS) to Cisco ACI, managing risks and minimizing downtime.
• Maintain, support, and optimize Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto firewall operations, and Citrix NetScaler administration.
• Support east-west (EW) and north-south (NS) micro-segmentation within an integrated Cisco ACI/Palo Alto fabric.
• Oversee monitoring operations, capacity/performance management, and proactive administration of hosted network infrastructures.
• Lead network architecture development to align with evolving application performance and security requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer support incidents within defined SLAs, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Develop and maintain customer support documentation and perform network audits/reports.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must-have:

• Cisco ACI experience – strong hands-on expertise in both design and implementation.
• Cisco routing and switching experience – must demonstrate operational knowledge.
• Software-defined networking (SDN) and micro-segmentation proficiency.
• BGP routing expertise – solid understanding and practical experience.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both senior leadership and IT teams.
• Hands-on experience with network architecture, implementation, and troubleshooting.

Nice-to-have:

• CCNP Data Center certification or equivalent.
• Experience with Cisco Converged Infrastructure (not mandatory but beneficial).
• Familiarity with infrastructure security and future micro-segmentation implementations.
