Team Introduction

TikTok is one of the fastest growing apps in the world, and we're looking for Senior Software Engineers to join our Ads Infra team. The ads system at TikTok operates on a massive scale and serves millions of advertisers, clients and influencers across the world. The quality of the ads system highly depends on the ability to handle massive data and traffic. We are responsible for building compliant, highly efficient, stable, scalable and multiple datacenter architecture of the whole ad delivering system.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects committed to building and operating scalable and reliable ads serving infrastructure systems
• Develop, drive, and execute the technical vision and roadmap for the ads serving infrastructure teams including targeting, bidding, ranking strategy etc
• Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts
• Build globalized ad systems across multiple data centers intercontinental with highest performance, availability, scalibility and low latency under strict compliance challenges
• Provide technical solutions and guidance to team members and project peers
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical disciplines
• 4 years of hands-on experience and deep understanding of backend or big data (Beam, Flink)
• Experience programming in at least one of the following programming languages: C++ Java or Golang
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, software design) and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with building large-scale online serving infrastructure
• Experienced in at least one area of the following areas: ads domain, personalized recommendations, search domain
