Python Developer - Leading Australian Brand - 12 Month Contract
Join a leading Australian organisation undergoing a major modernization initiative to revolutionize its revenue optimization platform. This project focuses on transforming a key platform used for inventory optimization, regulatory compliance, and revenue protection. The platform is transitioning to a scalable, cloud-based solution powered by server-side automation and real-time, event-driven architecture.
About the Role:
As a Developer, you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders and a highly skilled team to design, develop, and migrate critical automation processes to a modern cloud environment. Leveraging cutting-edge Python frameworks, you’ll implement event-driven solutions, optimize system scalability, and work with advanced tools such as RabbitMQ, Celery, and server-based integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain robust Python-based applications.
- Utilise asyncio for concurrent programming.
- Develop multithreaded and multiprocessing workflows using Celery.
- Integrate APIs (SOAP/REST) with tools like Zeep, Requests, or aiohttp.
- Process and analyze data with Pandas.
- Design real-time data integration solutions. Implement seamless data workflows using RabbitMQ and similar messaging tools. Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to modernization projects with innovative ideas. Thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
Requirements:
- Strong experience with Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django).
- Familiarity with message queue tools like Kombu and XML parsing libraries like BeautifulSoup.
- Experience with frontend tools such as Streamlit, Dash, or Plotly.
- Advanced data processing skills (e.g., NumPy, PySpark).
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools like Splunk or Datadog.
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of industry-specific processes, particularly in transport or logistics systems.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in cloud technologies and modern software development practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Contract Details:
- Initial 12-month contract with the potential for extension.
- Hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days in-office, Sydney).
- Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or full working rights in Australia.
