Desktop Engineer - Argentina

Qualitest is looking for a Desktop Engineer to join our growing team. The position is remote and supports multiple clients across various projects.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Desktop Engineer with deep technical expertise in Microsoft platforms and strong English communication skills. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, adapt quickly, and integrate into our long-term, collaborative team. This role focuses on application packaging, patch management, and desktop engineering, with opportunities for growth and training.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Provide desktop engineering support across multiple clients.

• Deploy and manage applications using Microsoft SCCM and Intune.

• Configure and troubleshoot user/machine profiles, registry settings, and group policies.

• Perform application packaging and patch management.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on Microsoft platforms.

• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation and system management.

• Collaborate with client contacts and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Must Haves:

• Very strong English communication skills (written and verbal) – client-facing role.

• Deep Windows expertise (user/machine profiles, registry settings, desktop OS troubleshooting).

• Experience with SCCM (application deployment, creating and maintaining collections).

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of IT experience with a focus on desktop engineering.

• Windows 10/11 expertise.

• Experience with MSI-based applications.

• Some PowerShell scripting experience (familiarity, ideally some scripting expertise).

• Experience with Microsoft SCCM and Intune/Endpoint Manager.

• Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, HyperV, Citrix, etc.).

• Strong troubleshooting skills on Microsoft platforms.

• Client-facing experience with strong communication skills.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools/technology.

• Desire to build a long-term career in desktop engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

• Application packaging and scripting experience (e.g., InstallShield/Flexera).

• Experience with Microsoft patching (SCCM, Intune) in an enterprise environment.

• Microsoft Virtual Desktop experience.

• General Azure experience.
