IT Application Manager

Join our Certificates & Equity Trading Tribe! We are developing and operating software solutions for RBI’s Certificates and Equity and market making business.

As an Application Manager you will play a key role in further developing and operating our Market Making Platform and provide solutions for Trading and Sales activities. You will work closely with colleagues in various IT teams but also with Product Owners and business colleagues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the applications, implementing business and IT requirements, and managing security requirements. As an Application Manager, you will work closely with our Infrastructure Team and maintain the high quality of our infrastructure and application setup and processes.

Your mission at RBI:

• Shape an efficient, modern, and high-quality application setup and ensure security-requirements are integrated.
• Efficiently manage server, firewall and connectivity demands in accordance with system specifications and IT process framework.
• Collaborate with Software Developers, Business Analysts, Infrastructure Specialists and Product Owner to achieve the product objectives.
• Coordinate 3rd party providers and connectivity to institutional clients.
• Conduct thorough analysis and testing of applications prior to their deployment to the production environment.
• Efficiently and fast troubleshoot issues to maintain a productive work environment.
  
  

Your core competencies:

• Deep know how of LINUX administration, preferably RedHat
• Scripting skills like bash, power shell
• Good understanding of Security Concepts and Vulnerability Management
• Basic understanding of DR/BCM Concepts
• Experience in Backend and Frontend Application Management ideally in a Banking or Capital Markets environment
• Practical knowledge in daily Application Operations and Monitoring
• Knowledge of infrastructure administration is a clear advantage e.g. Network & Routing, Firewall administration, virtual environments
