Job Description

Within the Special Units Directorate, the focus has always been on integrating technology and making it easily accessible to various unit members as part of their missions. Due to the highly specialized nature of the unit's assigned tasks, it has chosen to develop its own software solutions. Over time, some foreign partners have shown interest in the client’s solutions, ultimately leading to the decision to establish a software ecosystem that enables operational communication at the European level.

You will be integrated into the infrastructure team of the ICT Corporate service, where your role will be to participate in the implementation of the software infrastructure (CI/CD, K8S, etc.) and its unification with the unit’s physical infrastructure (servers, network, etc.).

More specifically, you will be involved in the implementation of the following technologies:

Kubernetes:

• Configuration of the Dashboard, API Gateway, Load Balancer, and access authorizations to the cluster
• Optimization of ConfigMaps, Secrets, and Storage (PV, PVC)
• Definition and implementation of a DNS strategy and TLS certificate management
• Setup of an internal registry for storing images internally
• Implementation of monitoring and scalability testing

CI/CD:

• Setting up a (new) source code management platform, e.g., Jira
• Implementing an automated deployment tool, e.g., Jenkins

Other:

• Establishing a (new) project management platform that can be integrated with a continuous integration and automated deployment tool, e.g., Jira
• Setting up a documentation platform, e.g., Confluence

Profile Requirements

• You hold a master’s degree in computer science or at least a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a similar role is a significant plus
• You have a strong command of DevOps concepts and Agile principles
• You have knowledge of setting up native Kubernetes clusters, deep configuration, and monitoring implementation
• You are proficient in external storage systems and their integration with a K8s cluster
• You have a good understanding of DNS and TLS certificate management in an environment with multiple production sites (several clusters)
• You have experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Jenkins
• Knowledge of collaborative tools and documentation platforms such as Confluence is a plus
• You have worked on projects requiring high availability and robustness
• You have strong resilience to stress and frustration and can make decisions while maintaining control over your emotions
• You have proficiency in technical English, and knowledge of a second national language is an advantage
