About This Opportunity

You’ll join the Credit & Risk IT organisation where we are responsible for creating automated credit decisioning solutions for all of Nordea Finance’s business lines.

What you'll be doing:

• Taking responsibility for the full lifecycle of application development: requirement gathering, design and development, testing and debugging
• Working on integrations, utilising middle-tier frameworks
• Cooperating with business to clarify expectations
• Testing, both manual and automated
• Reviewing the code on a regular basis and initiating needed improvements, and refactoring
• Investing in CI / CD platform and configurations and performing technical release tasks
• Maintaining technical documentation
  
  

The role is based in Helsinki with hybrid model of working. We have created several high-performing scrum teams consisting of front-end, back-end and full-stack developers that work together with architects and product owners within our SAFe Agile Release Train.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a back-end developer
• Knowledge and experience in C++, Springboot, Microservices and Java is a must
• Familiarity with tools such as Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins, GIT and Jira
• Knowledge and ability to use Clean Code principles
• Experience within Agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, VB and ASP will be seen as an advantage
• Fluent in spoken and written English which is our official language.
  
  

Additional background and/or skillset, that are beneficial in this role:

• Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Selenium and Cucumber
• Experience with Kubernetes container deployment
• Proficiency in Finnish language will be seen as an advantage, because some of the codebase is in Finnish
• Prior experience in the financial services industry is nice to have
