The team you'll be part of
You will join the Immersive Video Systems and Research team at Nokia Technologies CTO/Video Centre of Excellence Lab which performs industry leading and cutting-edge research that enables multimedia streaming technologies. The team consists of experienced and expert colleagues who contribute to development of multimedia standards and technologies at MPEG, 3GPP and IETF.

The team consists of experienced and expert colleagues who contribute to development of multimedia standards and technologies at MPEG, 3GPP and IETF.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
What you will learn and contribute to
As part of our team, you will:
- Participate in research and prototype development of multimedia streaming systems such as MPEG file formats, DASH-based streaming and media delivery systems
- Have a deeper understanding on MPEG standards such as ISOBMFF, DASH, HEIF, CMAF with a chance to implement and demonstrate several upcoming features
- Innovate with Nokia multimedia technology experts and learn about the innovation process
- Have the chance to work with worldly-known experts on multimedia technologies and contribute to MPEG standards
Your skills and experience
You have:
- BSc (minimum) on relevant engineering or science department.
- Ongoing MSc or PhD studies
- Experience implementation projects using C/C++ and/or python.
- Experience/knowledge about media containers and streaming protocols (e.g., ISOBMFF, MP4, CMAF, MPEG-DASH, HLS)
- Good communication skills and proficiency in English for reading/writing scientific literature and documentation
