About This Role

As a ML Engineer you will be at the forefront of machine learning initiatives, supporting the Data Science team by providing and maintaining essential infrastructure. You will collaborate with a Data Scientist to deploy, maintain and refine Machine Learning models for fast, reliable and scalable predictions within the Logistics organisation.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Provide and maintain essential infrastructure.
• Develop and manage pipelines and inference services for real-time and batch processing use cases, ensuring efficiency and robustness.
• Define and implement best practices for machine learning engineering, sharing expertise and conducting peer reviews to uphold high-quality standards.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Data Scientists to align predictive solutions with broader business objectives.
• Provide technical recommendations that maximize the impact of predictive models within the organization.
• Communicate insights effectively to peers and stakeholders using clear verbal and visual methods.
• Leverage state-of-the-art technologies to innovate and deliver solutions with tangible impacts on real-world logistics applications.
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Proficient with cloud technologies (ideally AWS) and experience with containerization and orchestration (preferably Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of software development and DevOps/MLOps best practices, with experience applying them in production.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with additional experience in Go being advantageous.
• Ability to generate and validate ideas with PoCs and build them into functional components.
• Collaborative mindset, working closely with other engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Owners.
• Strong critical analysis of architectural approaches and underlying assumptions.
• Preference for simple, effective solutions in technical execution.
