Your new Role

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the implementation and deployment of Network Infrastructure for organizations, ensuring that those organizations have reliable, secure, and high-performing networks to support their communication and connectivity needs.

As a Network Engineer you will be focused in executing network deployment projects efficiently while adhering to design specifications and industry best practices.

The Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (such as Network Architects or Engineers, Project Managers, System Administrators and Vendors) to understand network requirements and objectives and to ensure smooth and efficient network deployment. This person will cooperate on project planning, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders.

As a Network Engineer you will participate in network design discussions and provide input based on your expertise in deployment considerations.

You will be responsible for:

• Configure Network Devices – Set up routers, switches, firewalls, and access points with IP addresses, routing protocols, and security settings for LAN and WAN connectivity;
• Install Network Equipment – Physically connect and set up network devices in data centers, server rooms or network closets ensuring proper cabling, power supply, and cooling;
• Network Testing and Validation – Test and validate network infrastructure for connectivity, performance and adherence to design specifications using network testing tools and other key performance indicators;
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution – Identify and solve network deployment issues;
• Documentation and Reporting – Maintain accurate documentation of network deployment activities (configurations, diagrams, and procedures) and reports on deployment progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented;
• Change Management – Adhere to change management processes and procedures when implementing network changes, coordinating with change management teams to schedule and execute network deployment activities with minimal impact on production systems;
• Knowledge Transfer and Training – Create documentation or conduct training sessions to provide knowledge transfer to support teams or end-users on the newly deployed network infrastructure;
• Stay updated of the latest networking technologies, standards, and best practices related to network deployment, upgrade your skills and knowledge;
• Manage new technology deployment projects or delivery of infrastructure-related work packages within business projects.

What you will need to succeed

As a Network Engineer you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent work experience in IT Operations;
• +2 years of experience working in the field;
• Broad infrastructure technology knowledge;
• Expertise dealing with Firewalls (Palo Alto management, Palo alto Prisma SDWan, Palo Alto Prisma Access);
• Expertise managing Routers Cisco, Switches Cisco, Meraki WiFi, Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA;
• Ability to operate with Infoblox and Solarwinds management suite;
• Ability to work in a fast environment and to manage multiple priorities;
• Excellent communication skills – Fluency in English.
