Embedded Software Engineer

Coalsese Management Consulting is seeking a skilled and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Kronoberg County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for battery management and control systems.
• Work with Zephyr RTOS to implement real-time applications, device drivers, and communication protocols.
• Optimise software for performance, power efficiency, and reliability in embedded environments.
• Develop and integrate communication protocols (e.g., CAN, RS485, Modbus, SPI, I2C) for system interfacing.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new boards and troubleshoot system-level issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards for battery systems.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including software architecture, design, and testing procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with Zephyr RTOS or similar real-time operating systems.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex, STM32, Nordic, etc.).
• Knowledge of battery management systems (BMS) or power electronics is highly desirable.
• Experience with low-level firmware development, including bootloaders, peripheral drivers, and interrupts.
• Familiarity with version control (Git), debugging tools, and hardware testing methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
