Are you passionate about semiconductor manufacturing and process optimization? Do you thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment? We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team and play a key role in enhancing production efficiency, ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Process Ownership & Optimization
- Oversee and sustain manufacturing processes in the designated production area.
- Continuously improve equipment performance and process steps to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Develop and implement process control strategies, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) where applicable.
- Actively monitor production operations, identifying potential issues early through process control and regular observations.
- Training & Technical Support
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to technicians on new tools, procedures, and best practices.
- Develop clear, easy-to-follow work instructions for production personnel.
- Ensure that daily operations align with best practices and efficiency goals.
- Process Development & Qualification
- Design and execute test plans for new processes, tools, and production methods to ensure capability and quality.
- Collaborate with Process Integration Engineers to establish qualification plans for new products.
- Lead the selection, evaluation, and implementation of new process tools by researching vendors and conducting trials.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify areas for yield enhancement, productivity improvement, and efficiency optimization.
- Lead and participate in projects that drive process innovation and the development of future products.
- Utilize data-driven analysis to recommend and implement process improvements.
- Documentation & Technical Reporting
- Write and maintain process instructions, tool instructions, and operational guidelines.
- Document and analyze experimental results, evaluations, and improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements by reviewing technical papers and publications.
We are looking for someone who brings:
Education: Master’s or PhD in Physics, Material Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience: Preferred to have practiced within the semiconductor processing and characterization area.
Problem-Solving Mindset: Proactive, analytical, and able to drive meaningful changes in a production environment.
Technical Expertise: Understanding of wafer fabrication processes, process control, and cleanroom protocols.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to document and communicate technical information clearly and concisely in Swedish and English.
Team-Oriented Approach: A collaborative mindset with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude.
Industry Experience: Previous work experience in a semiconductor fabrication (fab) environment is highly desirable.
Working Conditions
- Majority of the work takes place inside a cleanroom environment (WFAB).
- Requires handling chemicals used in wafer fabrication processes.
