Software Engineering Manager

The Infra Operations Products & Services(IOPS) team is part of Enterprise Infrastructure and Security (EIS) under Enterprise Engineering Org. In EIS, we provide robust backbone infrastructure for Meta employees and vendor partners. The Infra Operations Products & Services (IOPS) team builds, operates, and provides operational products and services for monitoring, troubleshooting, engineering support and remediation of Meta's infrastructure. Our aim is to improve productivity of infra teams and their users by creating products and solutions to make operations around infra easier.

Software Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

• Be both highly technical and an effective people manager in an infrastructure domain
• Lead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area
• Work with your team and Cross Functional partners to define and influence strategy
• Drive roadmap creation and execution
• Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organisational level
• Participate in technical design
• Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals
• Work effectively with Cross Functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes
• Partner with leadership to influence and drive organisation design, contribution and prioritisation
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proven track record of supporting technical teams
• Experience supporting infrastructure engineering teams
• 5+ years experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python and/or PHP
• Demonstrated experience to manage technical teams
• Knowledge of growing teams and/or organisations
• BS / MS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, relevant work experience)
