Data Analyst & Engineer - Dubai, Full Time


We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst & Engineer to join our client’s team in the insurance sector. In this role, you will work closely with the organization to develop and implement a data strategy. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing data pipelines, creating insightful visualizations, and ensuring efficient data infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive data-driven decision-making.


Responsibilities:

Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights.

  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and business units, to understand data needs and deliver insights.
  • Present complex data findings in a clear and impactful manner for business stakeholders.
  • Create and manage Tableau and BI reporting tools to provide data-driven insights.
  • Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data collection and transformation.
  • Enhance BI tools for performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with technology and business teams to integrate data systems and streamline data flow.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize databases for seamless data retrieval and storage.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent data integration from multiple sources into a data warehouse.
  • Design, test, and maintain ETL scripts to support data transformation and warehousing.
  • Build and maintain data lakes, warehouses, and processing systems to support analytics and business intelligence.
  • Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with data governance and privacy regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, or R for data analysis.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools to create insightful dashboards.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with database management systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and integration.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data solutions deployment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a data analyst/engineer role or similar position.
  • Exposure to the insurance or reinsurance industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles is an advantage.
