Role: : Senior Software Engineer

Title: Assistant Vice President/Vice President

Location: Montreal, QC (Day 1 Onsite/Hybrid)- ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED

Mode of Work: 3 days per week onsite required

Required experience: 7+ Years

We have a global presence with offices in the US, India, UK, Australia, Mexico, and Canada.

You are: A true technical and/or domain ninja. Comfortable working in the quickly growing nature of profitable startups and have a “can do” attitude and are willing to take on any task thrown your way.

You will:

· As an AVP help to develop and promote the company’s culture of engineering excellence.

· Define, develop and deliver solutions at a top tier investment bank/other esteemed client.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required skills:

• Strong development experience with Java/J2EE, DB technologies.
• Strong development experience with Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Spring boot.
• Strong experience on Databases & Linux/Unix.
• Strong design and development skills.
• Experience with HTMLS /JS/CSS/ Angular technologies.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-based business environment with a proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• A “get it done” mentality.
• The ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment.
• The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to multitask and disciplined attention to detail, along with a team player mentality.

Skills Desired:

• Experience with Python & Spark.
• Knowledge of batch processing is a good to have, such as Spring Batch.
• Financial domain expertise or compliance system knowledge.

Your Education and Experience:
