Python Developer - Google Photos Job Description: The resource will be responsible for identifying the culprit change list (CL) that caused regressions reported by QA and taking appropriate action, including rolling back the culprit if necessary. Additionally, the role involves maintaining build health by proactively addressing issues observed at the head and resolving test failures reported by the release coordinator. The resource should demonstrate strong debugging skills, effective collaboration with developers, and a commitment to ensuring a stable and reliable build pipeline. Responsibilities:

• Culprit Identification and Rollback:
• Analyze regression reports from QA to identify the culprit CL.
• Perform rollbacks of the culprit CL to ensure build stability when required.
• Build Health Maintenance:
• Monitor and address issues impacting build health at the head.
• Collaborate with developers to fix build breaks and ensure a stable build pipeline.
• Test Failure Resolution: Investigate and resolve test failures reported by the release coordinator. Coordinate with QA and development teams to address root causes promptly. Debugging and Analysis: Use debugging tools and techniques to diagnose and resolve complex issues. Ensure timely resolution of build and test-related challenges. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with release coordinators, QA teams, and developers to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution. Provide regular updates on build health and regression fixes. Continuous Improvement: Identify patterns in failures and suggest process or tooling improvements to reduce regression occurrences. Document and share best practices for build stability and regression prevention.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience coding with Python.

Experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript). Experience in technical troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to work independently and learn new technologies effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with customer-side web technologies (e.g., HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, TypeScript) and database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL). Experience with frontend frameworks (such as Angular). Experience with full-stack web development. Experience with logging and monitoring. Experience mentoring junior developers. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
