We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Expert Android Mobile Developer to join our innovative team. The candidate will be responsible for building a robust and scalable framework to load and integrate web-tech based application modules into our existing Android application, in close collaboration with their iOS colleague. This role requires deep expertise in Android development, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating seamless and efficient user experiences. You will have strong impact on our 1.5M+ monthly active users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement a modular framework that seamlessly loads and integrates web-based application modules into our Android applications.
- Define the interfaces needed for the web-based modules to work correctly and integrate deeply with the user identiy, navigation and routing of the native application.
- Collaborate with functional product teams, including UI/UX designers and backend developers to help them with the Angular-based module implementation
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications by conducting thorough testing and debugging.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve the framework and development processes.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices and standards.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Android development using Kotlin.
- Proven experience in building modular frameworks and libraries for Android applications.
- Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their integration with native Android applications.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.
- Experience with performance tuning, memory management, and profiling tools for Android.
- Knowledge of Google’s design principles and interface guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in Dutch, and good understanding of the French language.
