Your role
Do you have a knack for technology? Do you like working with people? If you are solid as a rock, like leading others while juggling a lot of your deliveries at the same time, we're looking for you to:

• lead and be part of a strong technical engineering team and contribute to success of Mobile Excellence in UBS
• develop a vision, create and drive a delivery roadmap for your technology in close collaboration with the Android guild
• design features and participate in the deliveries of the UBS Mobile Banking app while continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• guide other engineers and share standards and best practices with them while providing tech solutions and ensuring adherence to good software practices by participating in code reviews
• collaborate with cross-location pod’s including UX designers, architects, back-end development teams and QA to deliver a high quality product
• work with external data sources and / or APIs
  
  

Your team
You’ll be working within UBS Business Solutions AG in Zurich in a team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our award winning Mobile Banking application. We plan and lead changes in our mobile crew by having chosen an agile working model, with a mindset around time-boxed delivery of solutions, empowerment of interdisciplinary pods and close collaboration throughout the whole software development process. We are building software which covers multiple areas of the bank, always focusing on faster time to market by using agile methodologies and putting the client needs first.

Your expertise

• a graduate degree in IT Software Engineering
• fundamental experience in designing secure, robust and scalable applications
• a positive attitude and a great interest in shaping the future of technology in banking
• 7+ years of native Android (Java/Kotlin) development experience
• Familiar with design principles
• Knowledge of Version Control System (Git)
• worked in a similar position and dealt with projects / external suppliers
• understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
• experience in test driven development, continuous Integration and Deployment
