Job Description

The Cloud BI Data Engineer (Azure / Databricks) is responsible for ensuring a smooth operation of the ContiTrade's Business Intelligence solutions, including the elaboration of solution requirements, their implementation and on-going deployment.

Are you passionate about leveraging data to drive business success? At ContiTrade, we are looking for a talented Cloud BI Data Engineer to implement and operate our cutting-edge Microsoft Azure-based Business Intelligence solution.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Innovate and Implement: Develop and deploy innovative BI solutions that meet evolving business needs and directly influence business decisions.
  • Collaborate and Create: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Optimize and Maintain: Align the BI service architecture with business stakeholder, ensure continuous platform improvement and secure smooth operation of our BI systems.
  • Specify and Design: Translate stakeholder requirements into functional specifications and design documents, ensuring alignment with business processes and data systems.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role you’d need:

  • Knowledge to design, build, test, release, and operate cloud-based BI solutions (such as Microsoft Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks)
  • Profound knowledge about Business Intelligence solution architectures (such as delta lake, lakehouse, medallion architecture)
  • IT Service Management know-how (e.g., ITIL Foundation)
  • Academic degree in computer science, business informatics or comparable qualification and work experience
  • Working experience in provisioning of modern BI architectures, BI backend solution development, and IT service management
  • Capable of collaboration in distributed working teams with business-, IT- and external partners in various countries
  • Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken), German language skills desirable.
