Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, and test data pipelines that ingest and store data from structured and unstructured sources in Azure using cloud services like Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory.
• Collaborate with data architects to ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of data solutions.
• Strong SQL programming skills and experience with T-SQL and PySpark
• Monitor Azure Synapse workloads and proactively address issues related to data processing, storage, and performance optimization in both T-SQL and Spark Jobs
• Familiarity with other Azure data services (IaaS and PaaS)
• Experience in YAML-based CI/CD in Azure DevOps

Required Skills

Key competences:

• Advanced Python coding knowledge (min. 2+ yrs), Pyspark experience
• Proficient in Python programming language, familiarity with Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib for data manipulation and analysis
• Understanding of relational databases and experience with MS SQL / Azure SQL
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps repos, artifacts and pipelines, 2+ years developing data pipelines
• Azure Synapse knowledge (Azure Data factory is also acceptable)
• Databricks or Synapse notebooks knowledge
• Source control knowledge
