Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Job Location: Remote – Canada (except BC)

Work Model: Remote

 

Position Summary

 

As a DevOps Specialist in our BUMP (digital raffles) business unit, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation and maintenance of the systems and infrastructure that underpin our cloud and on-premises Electronic Raffle System solutions.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of software
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) for orchestration and configuration management
  • Collaborate with development team to improve code quality and deployment processes
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis
  • Implement and maintain security measures through risk assessment and vulnerability management
  • Develop and maintain documentation for processes, tools, systems, and security compliance
  • Various other duties and responsibilities

 

Qualifications

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or computer science or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification is an asset
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • DevOps and CI/CD practices
    • Cloud computing
    • Containerization and orchestration
    • Infrastructure as code (IaC)
    • Security compliance certifications (ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
    • SCRUM & agile
  • 3+ years of Software Development or related experience
  • 3+ years of Linux Systems Administration or related experience
  • 5+ years of DevOps or related experience

 

Technologies

  • Clouds: AWS, Azure, Digital Ocean
  • Languages: Python, Bash, NodeJS, PHP
  • Load Testing: k6
  • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
  • Containerization: Docker, AWS ECS
  • CI/CD Tools: Git, Azure DevOps, Rundeck
  • Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, AWS CloudWatch

Mandatory Requirements

  • Fluency in English
