Embedded Software Engineer – Automotive Systems - Up to €760 per day - 6 month rolling contract - Must be based in Netherlands
Our client is a world leading Automotive company who are urgently looking for an experienced ADAS engineer who has experience of Embedded development.
This will be a lucrative 6 month rolling contract paying excellent daily rates.
Core Expertise
- Embedded Software Development: Proficiency in C and Assembly, with deep knowledge of ARMv7/v8 architecture and development on ARM or similar cores.
- Driver Development: Hands-on experience with OS/RTOS/QNX and writing low-level software.
Functional Safety & Security
- ISO 26262 Compliance: Expertise in functional safety processes for automotive systems.
- Cybersecurity: Strong understanding of software/hardware security concepts and mitigation strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Experience meeting stringent industry standards while addressing complex customer requirements.
Debugging & Troubleshooting
- Advanced Debugging Tools: Proficiency with Lauterbach JTAG debuggers, Trace32, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- System Optimization: Diagnosing and resolving multi-processor system issues efficiently.
Hardware Interaction
- Deep Understanding of Hardware Components: Clocks, PLLs, GPIO, Interrupt Controllers (GIC), and key automotive peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet, PCIe).
- Seamless Hardware-Software Integration: Ensuring smooth functionality across embedded automotive systems.
Automotive Software Development
- Industry Experience: Previous work in embedded automotive software development, with Qualcomm chip expertise as a plus.
- Real-Time & Power Management: Addressing critical automotive challenges, including responsiveness and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Define, implement, and optimize automotive-specific software, including drivers, BSP, security, and power management for next-gen SoCs.
- Root-Cause Analysis & Debugging: Identify system abnormalities, troubleshoot efficiently, and develop high-quality solutions.
- Prototyping & Validation: Rapidly create and test solutions to ensure robustness and performance.
- Automation & Efficiency: Develop automated testing and validation workflows to streamline development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with global teams, including design, production, and IP teams, to align on technical goals.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to ISO 26262 and other industry standards while addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Customer-Focused Innovation: Adapt to evolving customer requirements and deliver cutting-edge automotive solutions.
