Role: iOS developer

Location: Melbourne

Contract Duration- 6 months duration


Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented iOS Developer to join a high-performing team working closely with the Tech Lead for Mobile and the Client Tech Lead. The primary responsibility will be contributing to the development of a high-volume consumer application for one of the four major banks. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge mobile banking solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • iOS Developer (5-8 Years of iOS Development Experience)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain iOS applications.
  • Work with Swift, Xcode, and C++ to create high-quality mobile applications.
  • Contribute to all stages of the iOS app development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Write and maintain unit tests to ensure desired code coverage and application functionality.
  • Develop reusable components and implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment.
  • Work within an agile development environment, following best practices and collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Support and troubleshoot existing applications, ensuring reliability and performance.


Must-Have Skills:

  • 5-8 years of relevant iOS mobile development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, Xcode, and C++.
  • In-depth knowledge of iOS lifecycle and the various components of iOS app development.
  • Solid experience with version control tools such as Git, including branching strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of the agile development process and ability to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Prior experience with banking applications or the financial services sector.


Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Android development (not required, but advantageous).
  • Experience with automation testing in iOS, including the creation of test scripts.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD build plans for automated deployment.
  • Prior experience in creating reusable components and libraries.
  • Background knowledge in the banking sector is a plus.


General Information:

  • Candidate must be adaptable and comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with 50% in-office presence in Melbourne.
  • The role is set to start in the first week of March, with onboarding taking approximately four weeks.
  • There is potential for contract extension based on performance and business needs.


Contract Details:

  • Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
  • Number of Positions: 1


Location: Melbourne (Hybrid - 50% in-office presence mandatory)
