Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer

Toronto (Hybrid)

Our client is a rapidly expanding company experiencing significant growth in Toronto. Having successfully moved beyond the start-up phase, they are now scaling up considerably and seeking talented Data Scientists/Machine Learning Engineers to join their dynamic team and drive their product/service to the next level. What You'll Do:

• Develop cutting-edge algorithms using statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, leveraging Python (Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy) to create data-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with a team of talented individuals to tackle challenging problems and deliver impactful results.
• Contribute to the entire development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation and deployment.

Ideal Experience:

• Strong quantitative background with a STEM Master's or PhD from a leading institution preferred.
• Solid foundation in Probability and Statistics.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and associated libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
• Demonstrable experience applying machine learning techniques.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Experience with R, Matlab, and/or SQL is a plus.
• Familiarity with web technologies.
• Bonus points for experience with scorecard development and credit/fraud models.
