Software Engineer

Our big tech client is looking for a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems, APIs, and interfaces. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable solutions, implement features, and optimize tools. The role involves working with technologies like Hack (PHP), React, GraphQL, and Shopify integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document, and maintain application programs and interfaces.
• Develop and optimize backend systems, middle-tier APIs, and front-end interfaces.
• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional teams to refine project specifications.
• Implement and test (unit and end-to-end) complex project features to meet release timelines.
• Modify, enhance, and document tools and solutions.
• Evaluate enhancement requests and identify opportunities to simplify and optimize systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or bugs in a timely manner.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in backend development using Hack (PHP), Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with front-end technologies like React and GraphQL.
• Knowledge of ecommerce systems and API integrations (e.g., Shopify).
• Familiarity with decentralized source control tools like Git or Mercurial.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver high-quality results.
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a STEM field.
• Experience building enterprise-grade products is a plus.

This is on a 6-month contract role. (Highly renewable)
