Our client, a leading company in the Digital Banking sector, is looking for a passionate and driven Junior Front-End Engineer with expertise in React and TypeScript to join their dynamic team. This hybrid role, based in New York, offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills while working on innovative financial technology solutions. As part of the team, you will play a key role in building and enhancing digital banking applications that provide seamless and user-friendly experiences for customers.

As an Engineer, you will be responsible for developing advanced technology frameworks that improve developer productivity, while maintaining high-quality solutions at an enterprise scale. You will apply your expertise throughout the entire software development lifecycle, collaborating closely with stakeholders to align with common goals.

Responsibilities:

• Full-stack experience greatly preferred
• Developing new user-facing features using React.js
• Advocating for the user experience, including performance, accessibility, and general UX best practices
• Building reusable cross-platform components and front-end libraries for future use
• Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code
• Optimizing components for maximum performance across a variety of web-capable devices and browsers
• Taking ownership of work and seeing it through to completion

Required skills:

• Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and CSS
• At least 3 years of experience using React.js
• Proficient with CSS3
• Knowledge of Accessibility and Web Standards
• Experience with both Responsive and Adaptive Web Design
• Experience with using design language systems or similar
• Understanding of React.js and its core principles
• Familiarity with ADA compliance
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, yarn, etc.
• Ability to perform benchmarking and optimization
