Data Analyst

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join their team and play a pivotal role in optimizing and modernizing their reporting and data visualization processes. Summary: The Data Analyst will work closely with the Director of Customer Experience to design, develop, and implement efficient dashboards and reports, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major Big Data project migration while streamlining legacy processes, connecting data lakes, and ensuring data integrity. Data Integration & Querying:

• Write efficient SQL queries to connect and integrate data from diverse sources, including Excel and Access
• Structure and organize raw data sets to enhance usability and ensure accuracy
  
  

Reporting Optimization

• Migrate existing reports from Microsoft Excel to Power BI, optimizing workflows and automating processes
• Create streamlined, scalable dashboards in Power BI for various stakeholders
  
  

Dashboard Development

• Design and develop visually compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI to support self-sustaining data insights
• Provide actionable insights through data visualization to improve business performance
  
  

Collaboration

• Partner with the Director of Customer Experience and other stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver tailored solutions
• Communicate technical insights effectively to non-technical audiences
  
  

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL
• Proficiency in Power BI dashboard creation and data modeling
• Advanced SQL skills for querying and integrating data from multiple sources
• Experience with ETL processes and working with Excel and Access
• Strong understanding of data structuring and management principles
• Analytical Skills: Ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
• Project Management: Proven ability to deliver results within a two-month timeline between analysis and design phases
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
