About The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Engineer who enjoys contributing solutions in the Infrastructure and Observability space. Our team is responsible for setting and reviewing infrastructure standards within a player in the IoT space, as well as helping to improve the development teams' monitoring and tracking of their services.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Ensure the infrastructure is run in a secure and cost-efficient manner and that it complies with multiple security requirements of the organization.
• Develop improvements to observability libraries used by developers
• Design and implement improvements to infrastructure management through automation and reviewing existing Terraform code.
• Ensure observability vendors are used cost-efficiently and securely within the company ecosystem.

What You Bring On Day One (Required Qualifications)

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineer type role
• Strong domain knowledge within AWS
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems, networking protocols, and troubleshooting skills for networking issues
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and experience with tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation
• Experience using Python or other scripting languages
• Customer-focused and interested in enabling our cloud platform.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment

• Ensuring that the infrastructure is running securely
• Experience implementing operators for managing infrastructure
• Operating distributed systems at scale
