Business Executive

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Executive to join our dynamic team in the cryptocurrency sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, compliance, and anti-money laundering (AML) practices. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape surrounding cryptocurrencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
• Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with the company’s vision in the crypto market.
• Analyze industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Product Development
• Oversee the lifecycle of cryptocurrency products, from ideation to launch.
• Encourage innovation and collaboration among teams.
• Compliance Management
• Ensure all products and services comply with local and international regulations.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in legislation and update compliance practices accordingly.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Build relationships with regulators, partners, and clients.
• Represent the company at industry events.
• Financial Oversight
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Optimize resource allocation and operational costs.
• Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor a high-performing management team.
• Implement performance management systems.
• Risk Management
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with crypto operations.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g. Fit and proper certification) preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years in leadership roles within financial services or technology, with 3+ years in the crypto industry, in Spot or derivatives.
• In-depth knowledge of the EU Anti Money Laudering Directive,
• Strong understanding of virtual currency transactions, blockchain technology, and associated risks.
• Proven experience in a business development or executive role, particularly within the European market.
• Strong existing network of contacts and resources across various industries in Europe.
• Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; deep understanding of cryptocurrency technologies.
• Languages: Excellent German and English, other languages well used in Europe are a plus
