The Opportunity

We are seeking a Newtork Engineer to join our well-established IT Infrastructure team. As the Network Engineer you will assist in the development and support of data networking solutions across a variety of complex technical platforms and security domains. The solutions involved underpin the organisation’s corporate functions and mission-critical power system operation and market functions. Key aspects of the role include project delivery and solution optimisation initiatives relating to network routing/switching, WAN (MPLS) communications, authentication, Wireless technologies, local and global traffic management solutions.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 8+ years of relevant experience supporting a production environment
• Experience with user and security administration in the Windows/Unix environment
• The ability to work in an open way, willingness to share knowledge and resources, and educate others within a global team
• Subject matter expertise for network security components such as firewalls, VPN, IPS/IDS, and Lan/Wan networks
• Strong familiarity with security issues surrounding network computing and experience in implementation of security systems and controls
• Extensive experience with maintenance and administration of Palo Alto and Cisco environments
• Expert knowledge of Firewalls, Cisco networking, VPNs, ISE, security best practice frameworks and environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Non-Windows Server architectures, Virtualization Technologies, and LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN network technologies
• 3 to 5 years of PowerShell Automation experience for advanced level Firewall automation
• Ability to follow set procedures and policies pertaining to the Change Management System
• Ability to communicate with offshore teams and technical development teams.
